Russell H. Ramsay - Broadcaster, Politician, Historian
Russ Ramsay served as manager of the Collegiate Wildcats Basketball Team in the early to mid 1940s. He spent 30 years in the broadcasting industry as president and general manager of Hyland Radio & TV and Lake Superior Cablevision. He was voice of play by play action for the Soo Senior Greyhounds. His devotion to local sports and athletes led him to write extensively on the subject and he became recognized as the "Sault's Sports Historian." He was MPP for Sault Ste. Marie 1978-1985.
