Maj. Thompson Edwin Durham - Soldier, Historian

Ed Durham was the first curator of the Sault Ste. Marie & 49th Field Regiment RCA Historical Society Museum. He served in this capacity from 1951 to 1981. When the museum moved from its one small room at the Pine St. Armoury to its current location Ed retired as curator but continued his interest and involvement with the Historical Society until his death in 1981. The Durham Gallery houses a rotation of exhibits, some are locally curated and others are hosted travelling exhibits.
